Sabato 28 e domenica 29 settembre tornano le GEP – Giornate Europee del Patrimonio (European Heritage Days), la più estesa e partecipata manifestazione culturale d’Europa.Nelle due giornate dedicate al tema: “Patrimonio in cammino”, il Pantheon e il suo staff propongono una visita guidata esclusiva in notturna nel monumento, seguendo le tracce della storia di un patrimonio materiale e immateriale rimasto quasi immutato e inalterato nel tempo. Nei suoi quasi duemila anni di storia il Pantheon ha seguito un percorso di trasformazione che lo ha reso un unicum nel patrimonio culturale italiano e non solo.Situato nella parte centrale del Campo Marzio, il Pantheon, tempio dedicato a tutti gli Dei, è uno degli edifici meglio conservati dell’antichità, grazie alla sua consacrazione avvenuta nel 609 d.C con l’intitolazione alla Vergine Maria e ai Martiri. Sia l’esterno che l’interno del monumento raccontano di questa storia e il pronao, le colonne, i marmi policromi dell’interno nonché la spettacolare cupola sono testimonianze inarrivabili della magnificenza della Roma Imperiale, al suo apogeo durante il principato di  Adriano, quando il Pantheon attuale fu terminato.In una visita di circa un’ora, guidata da un assistente alla fruizione del MiC, avremo l’opportunità di ripercorrere i momenti salienti della storia del tempio antico fino alla sua definitiva trasformazione in luogo di culto cristiano, attraverso l’esame degli elementi architettonici e decorativi che ancora oggi sono in grado di mostrare le straordinarie caratteristiche di un edificio antico non soltanto dedicato agli Dei maggiori, ma anche direttamente associato alla figura dell’Imperatore.Visita guidata in italiano___The GEP - European Heritage Days, the largest and most popular cultural event in Europe, return on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 September.In these days dedicated to the theme : “Heritage on the way”, the Pantheon staff offer an exclusive guided tour of the monument, following the traces of the history of a material and immaterial heritage that has remained almost unchanged and unaltered over time.
