Digital guided tour: Symbiose: Nansky and Micro-Folie
Emblematic building of the city of Issoire in terms of heritage and history, the Clock Tower has always been a landmark for Issoire life. It was built in the 15th century at the initiative of Austremoine Bohier and her brother Antoine, both merchants and consuls of Issoire. It embodied the rise of the city and the development of civil power in the face of religious power. Also called belfry, the Tower has several functions over time, while its bell rhythm the daily life of the Issoiriens: watchtower, first communal house, then town hall until the nineteenth century. The Micro-Folie project, led by the Ministry of Culture and coordinated by La Villette, revolves around a digital museum, created in collaboration with 12 founding national cultural institutions (Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, La Villette, Philarmonie de Paris, Opéra National…).
