Exceptional by his(her,its) environment, the beauty of its red marble formerly exploited(run) and its vertical paving stone. His(Her,Its) importance for the history(story) of the Earth is internationally recognised. The paving stone in goniatites defines one of the biggest(greatest) biological crises of the history(story) of our planet, more important than that of Cretaceous upper who sees the disappearance of the dinosaurs. The site was listed(classified) in Natural reserve in 1998 and registers on the inventory of the Geological Heritage of Languedoc-Roussillon.
