Overview
Closing the perspective of rue des Ducs-de-Bar, this building of 1716 is distinguished from the other residences of the district by its classical architecture. Their style perfectly responds to the desire to amplify the ostentatious character of this aristocratic residence. It was occupied by the family of La Morre from 1740, doubtless seduced by the prestige which the architect had succeeded in making to impress the visitor. In the following centuries, the hotel became the home of several successive owners, including a boarding school for girls in the 19th century.
