The church of St Etienne de Cuq dominates the plain of the Agoût. It is on a plateau that has a history related to the castle nearby, the city being a fortified square. The church dates back to the 1286’s and was built gradually. Beautiful paintings can be seen on its walls and ceilings, the same blue as that of the vault of Saint Cecilia Cathedral and many of our local churches.
