Time is an essential factor in the life of religions. In addition to the conception of time itself, which is oriented towards a final end (the Last Judgment in the cults present in Alsace), calendars condition the cult throughout the year. The Western civil calendar is an offshoot of this. The annual cycle specific to each religion will be evoked through objects and illustrations that bear witness to these visions of time: Guta-Sintram codex from Marbach Abbey, Old Thann calendar, Rouffach jacquemarts, ornaments, Seder plate, Hanukkah lamp… Informations Free.
