Horse games with the family
The museum presents the production of the former factory of printed canvases founded in Jouy-en-Josas by Christophe-Philippe Oberkampf (1738-1815). Discover the history of one of the biggest companies of the Ancien Régime and the Empire as well as the charm of cotton printed through souvenirs of Oberkampf, draperies, printed canvases and many costumes. Installed since 1991 in the Château de l'Églantine (a 19th century ashlar residence with a contemporary structure), the museum opens onto a landscaped garden, representing canvases spread out over the meadows.
