The institution Sainte-Marie, emblematic place of the city center of old Chaumont, has received since 1837 generations of schoolchildren. Located on 3 buildings from the eighteenth to the nineteenth century, this school closed in 1997 and is currently rehabilitated by the IPHM (Institut du Patrimoine Haut-Marnais) to revive these walls and the associated history through events, including temporary or permanent exhibitions.
