The Municipal Archives are an essential place for those who want to discover or deepen the history of the City of Remiremont. Responsible for the collection, classification and conservation of documents produced and received by the town hall since the 13th century, the service allows the public to have access to these documents, directly on site in the reading room, or through exhibitions and animations. The archives have a collection ranging from 1255 to the present day, supplemented by private collections. They also preserve a rich library collection consisting of an old collection and a large local collection representing 10,000 books from the 15th century to the present.
