The imposing Burgaud church (more than 30 m long and more than 8 m wide), transports us in eight centuries of history of France and Europe. The history of the church probably began in the thirteenth century shortly after the foundation of the commandery to protect the inhabitants from incursions of «companies». Part of the fortifications of the city, it is crowned by a walkway donations the niches are still visible. Inside there are three firing windows pierced in the sixteenth century during the wars of religions. The vault built at the beginning of the 16th century bears the arms of Commander Honoré de Grasse who carried out these works. Three chapels in the same century housed the graves of Burgaudan families, there is a family of inhabitants of the city of Rhodes who followed the Order of the Hospitallers of SaintJohn of Jerusalem in their flight after the defeat against the Turks of Suleiman the Magnificent.
