Overview

Implanted outside ramparts, replacing tanners' district, the big(great) tannery of Lectoure is built in 1752 for the brothers Duclos, rich traders of Toulouse. She(It) receives the title of royal factory in 1754\\. They count a hundred of employees at the beginning. The activity around 139 stone tubs(ferries,high school diplomas) will continue during the first half of the XIXth century. In a style resolutely neoclassical as it number of renowned royal factories was big, its very well-manicured architectural quality aims to be the security of the blameless quality of its industrial production. She(It) is one of rare witnesses(batons) of royal factory of the region. In the East, the building(ship) which grouped(included) functions(offices) of accommodation(housing), administration and direction(management) was kept(preserved). Land side the entrance(entry) of the discreet north portal(gate) is the only one to carry registration(inscription) still "FABRICATED ROYAL". In the South, is the main front-door, monumental stone triumphal arch of size by where passed in transit the goods. On the West, the building(ship) which contained tanks, hairdryers, étuves and attics was transformed into house. In the North, the store of barks was transformed into garages.
