The heritage association invites you to discover the village and its history through several activities: exhibition on the rights of the Lords and Serfs, exhibition of old postcards, visit of the abbey.
Exhibition: Rights of the Lords and Serfs
Dive into the heart of the Middle Ages and explore the complexity of feudal rights. About fifteen richly illustrated panels will make you discover privileges often in favor of the Lords... and much less for the Serfs. An opportunity to better understand the social relationships of this fascinating era.Exhibition: Ancient postcards of Savigny
Travel back in time through a collection of copies of postcards from the village, dating from about one hundred years ago. Have fun recognizing places, houses, and compare the Savigny of yesterday to today♂️ Guided tour of the village
Departure at 10am in front of the church Go on a discovery: • former residences of dignitaries, • baroque-inspired trompe-l'œil facades, • the lapidary museum, which houses a hundred sculptures and architectural elements from the former Benedictine abbey Saint-Martin de Savigny, • and finish your journey by climbing the clock tower for a breathtaking view of the village and the remains of the abbey.
