The painting of Saint-Jean-Baptiste was given by Louis XV to the Baron de Mirepoix for the bravery of an officer from his family who distinguished himself at the Battle of Fontenoy (1745). The frame that adorns it would be a gift to the family of Batz, then owner of the castle in the commune of Mirepoix. One of its members after the Revolution, gives the said frame to the priest of the parish, who incorporates the painting of Saint John the Baptist.
