“Ruksak (pun) kulture” is a joint artistic and educational program of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia and the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia designed as a supplementary program in kindergartens, elementary and secondary schools. The Program has been implemented continuously since 2013. It has been included as a good practice example in the Handbook for Cultural and Artistic Education that was published by the European Commission in 2016. In 2022, more than 200 guest visits were recorded with a total number of participants being more than 5,600 children and young.

Besides the implementation of the regular “Ruksak (pun) kulture), four pilot programs were initiated: “Otočki ruksak (pun) kulture” (The Island Backpack (Full) of Culture), “Cjelogodišnji Ruksak (pun) kulture za djecu i mlade iz Sisačko-moslavačke županije” (The Yeararound Backpack (Full) of Culture for Children and Young of Sisak-Moslavina County), “Ruksak (pun) kulture za djecu tražitelje azila” (The Backpack (Full) of Culture for Children the Asylum Seekers) and “Ruksak (pun) kulture za hrvatsku djecu i mlade koji žive izvan granica Republike Hrvatske” (The Backpack (Full) of Culture for the Croatian Children and Young Living Abroad).
