The anniversary exhibition Galženica: Urban Utopia on the Periphery marks two important anniversaries related to the architectural history of Velika Gorica - 45 years of the Galženica Cultural Center, opened in 1980, as well as 50 years since the beginning of construction of the Galženica residential settlement. The construction of the settlement with a well-conceived urban plan, residential construction, public areas, public sculpture, city square, green areas and new cultural content significantly contributed to creating the urbanity of Velika Gorica in the 70s and 80s of the 20th century. In addition to archival material, the exhibition also brings works by contemporary artists who thematize the Galženica settlement in their artistic work.
