Overview

The Krapina Neanderthal Museum organizes various activities aimed at audiences of different ages and interests. In addition to touring the permanent museum exhibit and the Hušnjakovo site for individual visitors, there will be exhibitions such as Fossil Mollusks of Northwestern Croatia and Erika – the Woolly Rhinoceros. Visitors can use the Vienna Anthropological Society Route map to independently tour Krapina sites and participate in a prize game. With expert guidance, visitors will tour famous Krapina locations, marking the 120th anniversary of the anthropological meeting in Krapina. The youngest visitors will have the opportunity to participate in educational workshops on the theme of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Krapina’s mayor Vilibald Sluge, whose work marked the golden age of Krapina, and there will be a ceremonial unveiling of his bust.
