Overview: The Eco-Hub is a space dedicated to sustainability on the University of Glasgow campus. The project is coordinated by GUEST (Glasgow University Environmental Sustainability Team) and the Sustainability Team. The aim of the Eco-Hub is to offer services that benefit both people and the planet. Primarily a social café space, the Hub offers free and low-cost second-hand items to the community. Homeware and stationery are free for students all year round. Clothing is free to swap or just £1-£2.50 per item, coffee and tea are just 50p a cup, houseplants can be swapped at any time, and these services are available to everyone. The Eco-Hub is also a space for connection and works as a meeting point for staff, students and the wider community to come together to discuss and build a more sustainable world. Regular opening hours are Monday to Friday from 9.30AM-5PM. Accessible entrance available via University Gardens. The Eco-Hub is a small dynamic space, and it can get quite busy depending on the day. However, there is space to sit down, fidget toys and refreshments available. No child focused events but it is a child friendly space.
