La actividad consiste en una visita guiada haciendo un recorrido a través de la historia de
la Necrópolis para comprender de dónde viene la celebración del Día de los Difuntos. Durante la misma se tratarán temas como: el Samhain y los antiguos rituales celtas; los meses de luz y de oscuridad, el rapto de Perséfone y la importancia del sol en la tumba del Elefante; la Lemuria y su adaptación al cristianismo; peleas de esclavos, el morbo de la muerte y el origen de los juegos gladiatorios; el miedo a los espíritus y las distintas formas de superarlo; ritos funerarios en diferentes países y coincidencias con los ritos romanos antiguos, etc.

The activity consists of a guided tour taking a journey through the history of the Necropolis to understand where the celebration of the Day of the Dead comes from. During it, topics such as: Samhain and ancient Celtic rituals will be discussed; the months of light and darkness, the abduction of Persephone and the importance of the sun in the tomb of the Elephant; Lemuria and its adaptation to Christianity; slave fights, the morbidity of death and the origin of gladiatorial games; the fear of spirits and the different ways to overcome it; funeral rites in different countries and coincidences with ancient Roman rites, etc.
