Erskine United Free Church, Burntisland
13 September 2025 (14:00 - 16:00) Erskine church is an iconic landmark in Burntisland, visible to everyone who passes through the town. Its outline can also be seen on the RBS £10 note! The congregation goes back to 1738 and moved to this building in 1903. A highlight is the stained glass window “The Light of the World”. The church is usually only open once a week for worship so this is a rare occasion to be able to come in and enjoy the beautiful architecture and surroundings. There will be a display of archive material e.g. photos of office bearers from over 100 years ago, model of the original church on the High Street, and a matchstick model of the church. There will be guides available throughout the day to share the history of the church building for the last 120 years. NB The only part of the building that is inaccessible to wheelchairs is the gallery. There is ramp access to the building. Seating is available throughout.
