7 September 2025 (10:30 - 12:30) Inverclyde Tourist Group is a voluntary, not-for-profit organisation which undertakes meeting and greeting visitors to Inverclyde including cruise ships at Greenock Ocean Terminal. We provide information on local attractions, businesses and transport. We also conduct tours and talks for groups and host information stalls at The Oak Mall and local festivals and exhibitions. Esplanade Walk with Inverclyde Tourist Group, starting at the Royal West of Scotland Amateur Boat Club, a guided walk will review many of the grand houses and their history. The tour will end with a short talk inside the Old West Kirk. The range of mid-late Victorian dwellings reflects the growth and wealth of Greenock’s industrial past where many of the town’s entrepreneurs resided. The Category A Old West Kirk’s history mirrors that growth and expansion. Sunday 7th: 10:30am - 12:30pm Walk starts at Royal West of Scotland Amateur Boat Club and ends at Old West Kirk.
