The open-air museum groups(includes) 21 buildings(ships) of vernacular architecture of our region (from XVIIth century till XIXth century) saved from demolition and re-built as ethnological witnesses(batons). The environment of constructions (gardens, kitchen gardens, pools) and animal environment(middle) (regional breeds(races) in reprieve(reprieves,deferment,deferments)) supplement the site. The open-air Museum of Villeneuve-d' Ascq stays an unique(only) case for our region. Principle of open-air Museums is more common(current) in Europe of the North and Eastern.
