European Heritage Days in Valençay
The domain of Valençay is a high place of French heritage, rich in a singular history that began in the Renaissance with the family of Estampes before being the home of the illustrious Charles-Maurice de Talleyrand-Périgord, outstanding diplomat and minister of Napoleon. The castle is endowed with a rich historical furniture and benefits from a large park of about fifty hectares alternating gardens and forest area. It also played an important role during the Second World War as a repository of works of art in the Louvre. The castle is animated today by the desire to share a unique experience with visitors who will appreciate the art of living in all its components as well as the vibrations of a living place. The castle of Valençay is one of the great sites of the Loire Valley.
