Exhibition "1824-2024\. A stone, dykes... a whole story!"
Located at the heart of the medieval city(estate) of Conflans, the art museum and museum of history(story) occupies a building(ship) built in brick at the end of the XIVth century, called the Red House. Having belonged to different families, sheltered the congregation of Bernardines or else more recently a home, this small palace classified as "Historic Monument" shelters all the collections of the museum today. The collections of the museum manifest the life of the Savoyard across centuries. They narrate the history(story) of Albertville and of the region across four routes(courses): * history(story) (of Roman presence at the beginnings of winter sports), * popular art and blest art (the Savoyard life sculpted in the wood) * the everyday life (reconstruction of the life of a family at the end of the XIXth century in a typical house) * economy (or how the Savoyard knew how to take advantage from the slope and from the climate).
