Exhibition: «Discovering Maison Pares!»
Parès was founded in 1608\\. Located at the entrance of the town of Prats-de-mollo, near the current town hall, this noble residence once housed the city court. The basement was used as a prison, the ground floor as a stable, while the court occupied the first floor, and the clerks resided on the last level. Inhabited until 1890, the house was then deserted, thus escaping the unfortunate renovations that could have denatured it. Today, it is Michel and Huguette Pouymayou, history enthusiasts and lovers of old stones, who watch over this unique place. They open the doors of this house steeped in history and revive its rooms, redeveloping them according to different themes at each event.
