Gustave Fayet and Japan

Highlight of the Fayet season in Béziers, this exhibition presents Gustave Fayet’s passion for Far Eastern art, the common thread running through his dual practice as both collector and artist. Through pieces from his collection of prints, lacquers, textiles, Buddhist sculptures, but also his own creations - ceramics, blotting-cloths, fabrics, carpets -, the visitor will discover the pronounced taste of Fayet for a colorful Japan to which he borrowed forms and patterns.
