Exhibition "Suitcases! Stories of an object in the war"
Come and discover the new exhibition at the Museum of Resistance and Deportation in Besançon, designed around an everyday object, the suitcase. Today synonymous with escape or travel, it illustrates other realities in the context of the Second World War: the exile of the Spanish republicans, the exodus, the fight of the Resistance, the deportation, the extermination of the Jews or even the preservation of traces of history for future generations. From its collections and thanks to numerous loans from other institutions, the museum proposes to explore this object and its different uses.
