Overview

The castle of Théron dominates the valley of the Lot(Prize). He(It) took his(its) current shape just after Hundred Years' War. Rebuilt at the end of the XVth century, it gathers(collects) a tower of the XIIIth century fitted tightly round in a home and a surrounding wall(speaker) of the XIVth century supplemented by towers armed with machicolations. A square tower, built in the middle of the XIIIth century by Bernard de Valgaudour, is at the origin of the fortress. In Revolution, the inhabitants of Prayssac deprived him(it) of the furniture. Acquired as very national by a farmer, stones were used to build the ambient houses.
