Exhibition: self-guided tour of the village in the 1930s
Discover or rediscover the Village of the 1930s : of animated miniatures, illustrating the old trades (farrier, cabinetmaker, shoemaker, cooper, gamekeeper, miller, laundress, ladder or rake maker, potterer, fire-fighter, raw boilermaker, hoist, plough, broom maker, long saws...) , life in the villages : the cafe, the monument to the dead, the fair, the school, the grocery store, the bakery, the poacher,... and the work of the fields (ploughing, picking apples, hay, crops, milking cows, ...). Designed in the 1980s, at a scale of 1/10°, with realistic Mr. Edouard Dennebouy, they were exposed to the pond of Sarcelles nearly 20 years. Bought by the association of friends of the castle of Montfort, they have been restored by volunteers of the association, and are now presented on 200 m2, in the commons of the castle. A visit that will delight children but also their parents or grandparents. Informations 3€, free <18 years, cash and cheques only, pets not allowed.
