In celebration of European Heritage Days 2023, the Mathiatis Historical and Environmental Heritage Protection Group is delighted to host an immersive walk to the South Mine of Mathiatis and the hill of Stroggylou, which will take place on November 26, 2023, from 10:30 PM to 12:30 PM. The event is  generously supported by the Department of Planning and Housing.

The experiential guided tour aims to enlighten participants about the rich environmental and historical legacy of the South Mines of Mathiatis, a candidate for UNESCO World Heritage status. The event will culminate in a scenic hike to the enchanting hill of Stroggylou, offering participants a unique opportunity to experience the breathtaking landscape of the area.
