In September 2023 the Discovery Programme undertook a geophysical survey in the field surrounding Dunmanoge church and graveyard. This was in support of the conservation plan being implemented at Dunmanoge Medieval Church ruins and graveyard by the Castledermot Local History Group. This project is part of the Heritage Council’s Adopt a Monument Scheme. Initial results of the survey looked very promising and interesting as it builds on the great aerial photography of Gillian Barrett who has captured the amazing crop marks in the fields surrounding the church.
