The Protection association of Vieil Auzon manages the ecomuseum. Created in 1986, it is in basement of the city council. The team, principally trained(formed) by volunteers, will make you discover the previous jobs(businesses) from numerous lent or given objects: the appearance(mine), the blacksmith, the clog maker, the threshing machine, the trimming the wood lathe of the XVIIIth century, but also the school, toys, the minerals of the region as well as the history(story) of Auzon, strengthened royal city, one of 13 "good cities" of Auvergne. In this medieval small town, protected by a wall of surrounding wall(speaker), you will be able also to admire the collegiate of the XIIth century and its paintings(paints) of the XIVth century, the hall(market) as well as the path round the battlements.
