In this place with contemporary architecture in the heart of the city, the Hèbre Museum presents a series of spaces intended to highlight the past of this singular new city of the seventeenth century that is Rochefort. The collections of the museum consist of a gallery of paintings of great diversity, which allows to approach a wide panorama of eras and artistic movements, of two spaces dedicated to Pierre Loti (whose house is currently in restoration), of a CIAP tracing the history of the city with in particular the amazing plan-relief of Rochefort designed by Touboulic in 1835 and collections of objects from the oceanian, African or Asian continents, testimonies of the numerous exchanges between this maritime city and the world.
