An open-air festival combining theatre, concerts and readings... in the leafy setting of the Shakespeare garden Within the Bois de Boulogne, in the Jardin du pré Catelan, you will find the Shakespeare Garden and its "Green Theatre", which plunges audiences into the world of the famous English playwright, William Shakespeare. This garden has a number of small themed gardens inspired by the Bard's plays, such as "A Midsummer Night's Dream", "The Tempest", "Macbeth" and "Hamlet". This festival offers a rich and varied programme, welcoming 400 spectators who come to appreciate the arts. Traditionally, these shows, which take a different theme each year, are suitable for all. The programme is usually made up of puppet shows, stories, comedy, circus acts, readings and so on. The audience is also invited to enjoy plays by the great poets and playwrights such as Molière, Jean de la Fontaine and Shakespeare.
