Paris celebrates the Games: The Lutetia arenas are one of the venues for the ‘Paris celebrates the Games’ festivities during the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The town hall in the 5th arrondissement of Paris is offering large-screen broadcasts of the events, free sporting and artistic activities, exhibitions and open-air concerts and cinemas to celebrate the event.

Opening times: 12 August to 27 August, 4pm to 10pm / 28 August to 8 September, 10am to 10pm.

The Arènes de Lutèce (formerly known as the Arenas of Paris) are listed Historic Monuments and can be visited free of charge every day. These arenas, located in the Latin Quarter and built between the 1st and late 2nd centuries, could hold around 15,000 people. The original dimensions were 132 metres long and 100 metres wide. Visitors can still see the location of the actors? dressing rooms, the stage platform and lapidary features. The Arènes de Lutèce and the Thermes de Cluny (Musée de Cluny) are the only remains of the Gallo-Roman period still visible in Paris.
