Located at the foot of the tower of Madeloc, overlooking the sea 360 degrees in the heart of the Catalan vineyard, the Battery of Galline is for 10 years the playground and experimentation of the association «La Galline». By rehabilitating the place to make it a boating fort, the association is animated by the desire to create a place of sharing and exchange, highlighting the ancestral practices of eco-construction. The goal: participate in the dynamics of the terroir and organize cultural events. The fort itself is a military building built between 1883 and 1886 to defend the Côte Vermeille. It is the largest of the 3 batteries built in the area with 4 artillery pieces, a garrison of 70 men and a powder store for 3200 kg.

Direction Site de Paulilles – Cosprons – La Guinelle. Continuer sur la piste (1,5 km). Présence d'un petit parking devant le Fort. Possibilité de stationnement avant ou sur la piste.
