  • "The weird hosts of the red muse" Le Pressoir d'Eugène, a place dedicated to the winemaker poet "Eugène Bizeau" Anarchist, anticlerical, antimilitarist with great kindness and a lot of humor, Eugène Bizeau left a large number of poems. Initially installed as a winemaker, Eugène Bizeau (1883-1989) quickly composed many pacifist and antimilitarist poems published in many magazines and newspapers of the time. In his house on the rue Chaude, he welcomed many of his fellow poets and friends, including the illustrator Cabu. This year, Jacqueline Brunet, "the memory of Véretz," keeps him company, she who knew and admired him well. His files, his notes, his investigations on Véretz and its inhabitants of the past are available to the curious. The next Heritage Days will be dedicated to him, as well as to Pierre-Yves Delarue, cartoonist, writer and humorist who saved a large part of Eugène Bizeau’s documents. Le Pressoir d'Eugène will be the place of memory for the heritage of Véretz. Gillette and Henri Lévy will have the pleasure of welcoming you there
