Presentation of the baroque organ by an organist
Built at the end of the XVIIth century, the building(ship) is the chapel of the Christian congregation of the Filles de l' Union. Of style Jesuit, he(it) represents the only example of this Italian baroque architecture in Tours(Ballots,Towers). Just after Revolution, the chapel is used by the administration to serve as orangery, as arsenal, and finally as boys' boarding school. She(It) becomes property of Mr de Vildé, who rents(praises) her(it) to the Protestant community ré - established in Touraine from 1838\\. The latter(This last) acquires the building(ship) in 1844\\. Today, the building(ship) is used by the reformed Protestant Church of Touraine which celebrates its worship(cults) there, as well as by the Anglican community of the church of England St Alcuin. It is listed(classified) on the list of historic monuments since 1992\\. Stained-glass windows were created and realised by workshops Duchemin in 2000\\. The organ was inaugurated in 2007, made by the factor(mailman) Rémy Malher which knew how to realise an at once modern, personal and original work. Behind the sideboard(buffet) in contemporary forms numerous games(sets) hide among which the softness, subtlety and diversity call back(remind) instruments built in the XVIIth century in Germany of the South.
