Stronghold in the Middle Ages, Montpoupon was transformed in the 15th century by becoming a residential residence in a Renaissance style. Owner since 1857, the family La Motte Saint-Pierre was able to modernize the castle in the 20s, to make it a comfortable residence of the Loire Valley. The castle immerses you in the family intimacy of the owners through a free and sound-filled visit in a fully furnished castle; from the kitchens to the dining room via the private apartments. The outbuildings allow you to discover the passion of the family for horses and horse-venery through the stables, saddlery, artists' paintings and Hermès squares. To finish your visit, a forest walk is open in the castle park.
