Overview

The exhibition "VAN GOGH, THE LAST JOURNEYS" at the Château d'Auvers takes the form of a digital journey presenting the painter’s works in very high definition, accompanied by original works from artists from his entourage, having worked in the same places, and at the same time. Museum-quality facsimiles of major paintings by Vincent van Gogh, the "Museum Editions" offered by the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, complete this proposal. For the first time, Vincent van Gogh’s last travels are presented as an ultimate exploration and a return to the roots of man and artist. The visitor then travels to France at the same time as the painter, from his Parisian years with his brother Theo to his last stay in Auvers-sur-Oise, passing through Arles and Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. He enters both his intimacy and his creative process. The exhibition presents successively the different material and human environments of the painter during his last four years. Book
