The Sainte-Anne Retirement Home, founded in the mid-19th century, opened 68 avenue du Roule in 1864\\. In operation until 1981, it was bought by the city of Neuilly-sur-Seine, which built a crèche, social housing and the Sablons theatre. The interior of the chapel, typical of the Second Empire, was restored during the rehabilitation work.
