Overview

The territory of the Grand Site de France Conca d'Oru, vineyard of Patrimonio – gulf of Saint-Florent, is an emblematic site of the Department of Haute-Corse. It is characterized by a landscape harmony linked to the meeting of the Earth and the Sea whose alliance remains a strong image of this island of the Mediterranean. It is the fruit of a permanent and singular dialogue between these two elements, in a game of varied rhythms and finely balanced, colors and reliefs, vegetation and mineral cover, natural and inhabited spaces. In 2017, the territory is labeled "Grand Site of France", label renewed in 2023 by the Ministry of Ecological Transition. The house of the Grand site, based in Saint-Florent, is an opening on this territory. It offers a complete reading of this Corsican landscape, thanks to a scenographic journey. Thus discover the geological formation of the territory, its fauna and flora or even the coastal part of the territory. You will also learn about the architectural heritage of the villages that make up the territory as well as its traditions and customs. You will finally discover the wine terroir, the history and the culture of the vine on this territory whose landscapes are largely shaped by the vineyard. The museography is fun and allows to awaken the senses, between manipulation, listening, observation, it is a journey that aims to be fun for young and old. At the end of your visit, leave with a souvenir photo of yourself in one of the landscapes of the Grand Site.
