🎧 The Sound Journey of Vigan
An immersive journey into the heart of heritage, guided by the voices of Viganese women
Le Parcours Sonore is a volunteer, citizen and non-profit initiative. It offers a walk or bike ride, to discover the village of Vigan, through 12 points of interest to listen freely on your smartphone. 🗺️ How does it work? By going to the site www.parcours-sonore.org, you access a map of the course. For each step, just click on a sound bubble: a female voice tells you the story of the place. It’s simple, free and accessible to everyone, from 4 to 99 years old! 🧘 An eco-tourist and sensory activity- 1h30 of walk or bike ride
- Easy route, without signage or intrusive technology
- Possibility to finish the visit with a meditation or yoga session by the lake 📚 Digital at the service of local history Designed with the historian-paleographer Max Aussel, a disciple of the medievalist Jean Lartigaut, this route highlights the small heritage of Vigan and revives the memory of the village of yesteryear. The tour ends at the Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption abbey, classified as a historic monument since 1893, an emblematic stage for pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela. 🎙️ A committed initiative for the visibility of women in History Only 2 to 5% of street names in France are female, and one woman for every five men is mentioned in school textbooks. Le Parcours Sonore reverses the trend: 12 women from Viganes take the floor to tell their village story. 💬 For children, a fun quiz with Viganelle is offered as a complement to the visit.
