On the way, you will admire fountains still in use and old buildings transformed into cisterns, witnesses of a past where fresh water was vital. You will also explore the surroundings of the aqueduct of Martigues, discrete and melted into the landscape, and learn surprising anecdotes about the district of Jonquières, formerly marshy, where the rushes were plunged to attract game. One of the jewels of this visit is the fountain of the Place Mirabeau, moved from one neighborhood to another by the family Jourdan, who also owned the old hotel La Goutte d'Or.
