Join us for guided tours of the final resting place of around 250,000 people who have contributed to Glasgow’s rich history.
The tour includes a fun Hunt the Gorbals Vampire activity, where children - supported by parents or family - can search for laminated pictures of the Gorbals Vampire hidden throughout the cemetery.

Friends of Southern Necropolis are a not-for-profit voluntary community group, who strive to preserve and promote the educational, environmental and historical assets of the Southern Necropolis, the final resting place of approximately 250,000 contributors to the rich historical legacy of Glasgow.
The gatehouse of the Southern Necropolis is an “A listed” building and on the Glasgow Buildings at Risk list, built 1848 designed by Charles Wilson. The gatehouse is indeed a window to the past as well as a door to the future.

Gatehouse is not open to the public.
