This tour will look at two very different eras in Valentia: when it was held by the MacCarthys (roughly 1200-1600) and the planned village of Knightstown, commissioned by the Knight of Kerry in the nineteenth century. We will walk around Knightstown looking at some of its interesting features, and then head to the ruined medieval church of Kilmore and the graveyard which contains a lot of history.
