Overview

A guided tour offers you to discover the architectural heritage of Ammerschwihr, city destroyed 85% in December 1944. Accompanied by Francis Lichtlé, historian and archivist, you will leave at the foot of the tower of Fripons to evoke the medieval past of the city and its ancient fortifications. The route will then take you through the city to trace the stages of post-war reconstruction, highlighting the few houses miraculously spared, as well as the church and its precious statues from the 16th century.
