Overview

The castle of Somsois was built by Christophe Le Vefve in 1580\\. Reworked in the 18th century by the Du Gretz family, it retains important elements of decoration from this period. Bought in 2022 by Alice Pinon, it is revived after two years of important work: roofs, windows, and of course all the second work. The monumental horseshoe staircase dating from the 18th century has also been restored. The house will soon open its 5 guest rooms. The barn and stables are being rebuilt and will host seminars, weddings or any other event by summer 2026. The estate now covers 5.5 hectares including a preserved dovecote that will be the subject of future restorations, a large body of water fed by the natural sources of the estate, a park and an orchard.
