The village of Vabre-Tizac retains its fortified village character. The fort constitutes a closed square, surrounded by ancient houses forming a rampart, which communicates by a vaulted door (13th-14th centuries) with the square of the church. From this ancient seigneurial fief, remains a fortified enclosure and its door, as well as the remains of a medieval home. Against this wall, which has become a small village, spontaneously leaned against the houses during the Hundred Years War, for fear of looting.
