The most prestigious necropolis in Paris, the Père-Lachaise cemetery covers 44 ha. It houses the tombs of many personalities, including Frédéric Chopin, Alfred de Musset, Honoré de Balzac, Marcel Proust, Francis Poulenc, Colette, Edith Piaf, Jim Morisson, Simone Signoret... Its 5300 trees also make it a refuge for biodiversity.
