The church, the triumphal arch, the monumental cross and the ossuary are classified as a historical monument by order of 21 December 1914. It was at the time the parish church of a small village established on a nearby hill of which remains the place called «Le Vieux-Bourg». The structure of the church will evolve over the next 5 centuries according to the different styles of the moment. Despite these modifications, a certain unity emerges from this building that makes it a small masterpiece of Breton architecture. The building built on the heights of Châteaulin dates back to the early 13th century.
